30/06 2025Singer-songwriter Elín Hall brings her ethereal, emotionally charged music to the living room of Gljúfrasteinn — the former home of Nobel Laureate Halldór Laxness. In this special performance, modern Icelandic music meets literary legacy in an intimate and atmospheric setting.
Known for her poetic lyricism and cinematic soundscapes, Elín will perform a selection of original songs, including her critically acclaimed new single Heaven To A Heathen, a collaboration with Grammy-winning Martin Terefe. The concert offers a rare opportunity to hear one of Iceland’s most compelling voices up close in a setting rich with cultural resonance.
Elín Hall is an award-winning Icelandic artist, acclaimed for her poetic songwriting and cinematic voice. Her breakthrough album, heyrist í mér?, was named Album of the Year by The Reykjavík Grapevine, earning praise for its emotional depth and dreamlike soundscapes.
Elín has performed at festivals such as Iceland Airwaves and BludFest (UK) and is set to support Smashing Pumpkins in Reykjavík this summer. Also a celebrated actress, she stars in the Cannes-selected film When the Light Breaks, a role that earned her Best Actress awards at both the Edda Awards and the Chicago International Film Festival.
